CHERRY BLOSSOM TIME. The wild cherry trees escaped the earlier frost damage and are now blooming merrily (top). Soon, the path along the riparian corridor below the dam will be awash with their pungent, sweet aroma. The tiny wildflowers, Bluets, also are strutting their miniature stuff in small patches, barely taller then their neighboring grass.
